At a ministerial presentation of his ministries, Al-Saleh said the Interior Ministry's focus was on three matters, namely digital transformation, which constitutes 30 percent of the government's work program, combating residency dealers and laws and legislation.

This has resulted in the detection of a group of residency dealers, the transfer of more than 417 violating companies and several lawsuits.

New types of special accommodations for foreign investors have also been introduced.
In regards to traffic, the ministry has updated laws and regulations, raising the maximum limit for fines and developing a new mechanism for vehicle compounding.
Meanwhile, a draft law has been submitted to the Supreme National Elections Committee, rendering it independent, while work has been carried out to update parliamentary voting registration according to civil ID cards.
Separately, the Kuwait Fire Force, during the pandemic, has distributed more than 60,000 medical prescriptions to nationals and has finalised more than 80 percent of health and safety standard certifications electronically.
On the achievements of the Public Authority for Civil Information, Al-Saleh said that its most prominent is the launch of the contactless digital identification system, Hawyati, which has so far attracted more than 960,000 users, including individuals, government institutions and private businesses.
The body also continues to deliver civil ID cards to homes, with some 2,500 cards delivered a day.
