India- Four years after demonetization, cash in system at all-time high


(MENAFN- NewsBytes) On November 8, 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the existing Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes would be rendered useless, in what was supposed to be a crackdown against black money.

Four years later, a large amount of cash is still present in India's system.

According to Indian Express , currency with the public is at an all-time high of Rs. Rs 26.19 lakh crore.
