Zambia initiates property empowerment scheme


(MENAFN) Zambia on Wednesday, October 28, initiated a land titling scheme intended to make sure that people have security to their ground.

The government has since anticipated giving 4 million land titles to inhabitants in a period of seven years.

Minister of Lands and Natural Resources Jean Kapata, who initiated the National Land Titling scheme, stated that the scheme will allow the country to augment the issuance of ground titles which was presently reaching 300,000.

The ascending of the systematic ground titling scheme will allow all Zambians to obtain their land rights, she stated.

The ministry has since employed a private firm, Medici Land Governance, to carry out the scheme.
