São Paulo – The minister of Economy of the State of Palestine, Khaled al-Osaily (pictured above) invited Brazilians to invest in his country. He spoke during the wrap-up of the Economic Forum Brazil & Arab Countries this Thursday (22). 'I would like to invite businesses to prospect for technical cooperation opportunities in multiple promising sectors in Palestine, and to take advantage of the facilities and incentives available to join the Arab and Islamic markets,' al-Osaily said. the forum was hosted by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) in partnership with the Union of Arab Chambers, with support from the Arab League.

The minister believes the forum has helped lay the groundwork for future of cooperation which Palestine hopes to be a part of. 'There are opportunities available for Brazilian businesses to invest in Palestine. Despite its small size, Palestine invites investors to delve further into partnership, into trade and investment relations, into technology and value-added products, and to encourage cooperation in industry and services, particularly IT and financial services.'

Osaily said the Palestinian government offers incentives to direct investment in IT within free zones. 'We are committed to enhancing direct investment by offering incentives to projects that can help with the transfer of information and the enhancement of exports,' he said before going on to mention other promising fields, such as healthcare, education, agriculture, industry, and tourism in cities like Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Jericho.
