Kuleba announces first online meeting of Ukraine-Malaysia business

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The first online meeting of Ukrainian and Malaysian businesses dedicated to the food industry and agricultural technologies will take place on September 15.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this at an online briefing on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

'I would like to inform you about our work in the field of promoting Ukrainian exports and attracting foreign investment to Ukraine. This is one of the key priorities that I, as a minister, have set at the center of the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On September 15, we will hold the first ever online meeting of Ukrainian and Malaysian businesses. Some 300 companies will take part in this meeting, that is, it is a very large forum. This meeting is also part of the intensification of our efforts in the Asian direction. Malaysia is an extremely promising market for Ukrainian exporters, that is why we are making such efforts to promote Ukrainian exports in the world," Kuleba stressed.

The minister noted that this is done not so much for the sake of exporters as for the sake of Ukrainian economy and Ukrainian citizens working at the enterprises of Ukrainian exporters. 'Because the more exports we have, the more money is returned to the Ukrainian economy, and the more taxes are paid, the more jobs are created. We do this for the welfare of every Ukrainian involved in this sector of the economy," he said.

Kuleba said that the first online meeting of Ukrainian and Malaysian businesses is organized by the Council of Exporters and Investors at the Foreign Ministry and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).

"The first meeting will be devoted to the food industry and agricultural technologies," the foreign minister noted.
