Discover Qatar starts hotel quarantine booking for Qatari Nationals QID holders asked to wait for procedural details

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Discover Qatar has started accepting bookings for 14-day mandatory hotel quarantine of Qatari Nationals returning to the country adding that non-Qatari QID holders should not make the bookings as clarifications on procedural requirement are still awaited. 

Qatari Nationals who are returning to Qatar from now onwards to September 22 will need to book and pay for one of the approved quarantine hotel packages for a period of 14 days. Without confirmed quarantine reservations, check-in at Hamad International Airport will not permitted. 

'QID holders will not be able to board a flight to Qatar without first receiving authorisation to travel to Qatar, and then by also providing confirmation of a 14 day government approved quarantine package reservation, the website added.

Quarantine packages for non-Qatari QID holders have not yet been updated and Discover Qatar clarified that only QID holders from select ‘low risk' countries will be permitted to travel from August 1, and pre-authorisation to enter the country will be required for all QID holders, the details of which will be provided in the weeks ahead. 

As of now the website has three hotel packages for citizens returning to Qatar starting from QR 3241 on double occupancy and QR 4,774 on single occupancy on full board basis in a four star hotel, which is a mandatory quarantine package that includes meals, 14 nights accommodation and mandatory transfer from airport to hotel. TIME Rako Hotel, Dusit Doha Hotel and The Westin Doha Hotel are the three hotels offering quarantine packages.

For all other permitted arrivals, quarantine bookings can be made at Qatar Airways Holidays in partnership with Discover Qatar.
