(MENAFN- Daily Outlook Afghanistan) KABUL - As many as 250 soldiers from Fort Drum near Watertown, New York., would deploy to Afghanistan this spring, the Army Times reported.
As part of a regular rotation of forces, the 10th Mountain Division Headquarters would replace the 1st Armored Division Headquarters, the report said.
Division commander Maj. Gen. Brian J. Mennes would lead the 250 personnel. The unit will join the existing US Forces-Afghanistan mission.
Planned for many months, the deployment will happen in early spring. The division is currently stationed at Fort Drum in New York. (Pajhwok)
