Finance minister: IMF mission will discuss Jordan's 3rd financial, economic review


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept. 16 (Petra) - Minister of Finance Ezzedine Kanakria on Monday said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission visiting Jordan this week will hold talks on financial and economic indicators for the elapsed period of this year and the expected indicators for the coming months.
The minister added in a press release that discussions with the IMF on the third review of the Jordanian economy program, which will be part of its annual meetings expected to be held in Washington next month, will also continue.
"The mission's visit is scheduled to review the procedures of the financial and economic reform program, which is being implemented in cooperation with the IMF," he added, pointing out that the meetings will be held in the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank and the ministries of planning, energy, industry, trade and water, in addition to other meetings with a number of officials.
The meetings will also tackle measures aimed at promoting economic growth in line with maintaining financial and monetary stability, the minister added.
