Turkey is ready to provide significant support to US entrepreneurs, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in Ankara during a meeting with a delegation of US entrepreneurs,Trendreports citing Turkish media.
Erdogan noted that trade relations between Turkey and the US are at the highest level and he really wants these relations to positively affect political relations between the two countries as well.
He added that Turkey and the US intend to increase trade turnover.
In July 2019, Turkey's trade turnover with the US grew by $80.517 million, compared to the same period last year, and amounted to $2.049 billion. Turkey's exports to the US amounted to $725.962 million, while imports from the US reached $1.344 billion.
The trade turnover between Turkey and the US in January-July 2019 decreased by $769.086 million compared to the same period in 2018, and amounted to $11.299 billion. Turkish exports to the US amounted to $4.649 billion, while imports from the US reached $6.650 billion.
The total exports of Turkey in July 2019 increased by 7.9 percent compared to last year and amounted to $15.16 billion. At the same time, Turkey's imports decreased by 8.5 percent and amounted to $18.35 billion.
Turkey's foreign trade turnover in July 2019 amounted to $33.51 billion.
