Jordan- Industry Minister, UAE envoy discuss Expo 2020 Dubai


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug. 6 (Petra) -- Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Tariq Hammouri, Tuesday met with United Arab Emirate's Ambassador, Ahmad Balushi, and a delegation from the Expo 2020 Dubai to discuss preparations for Jordan's participation, and facilitations offered by the UAE.
Hammouri said that the government is working towards a robust and effective Jordanian participation in the exhibition, which is hosted by the UAE.
"We look forward to participating, and the success of this event," he added, noting that: "We will do our utmost to contribute to achieving its objectives within the framework of the exemplary relations between the two countries."
The National Preparatory Committee, which includes representatives from the public and private sectors, was formed for Amman's participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai, the minister stated.
The envoy said his country looks forward to Jordan's participation, noting that the Kingdom will provide any possible facilitations to the international exhibition.
Hammouri and Balushi also discussed means of enhancing bilateral economic cooperation, and benefiting from the opportunities available in both countries.
During the meeting, Hammouri called on the Dubai private sector to invest in Jordan, pointing to the competitive advantages and investment opportunities available in various sectors.
