Algeria allocates 28 planes to airlift fans to Egypt for AFCON final


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ALGIERS, July 15 (KUNA) -- Algerian Prime Minister Noureddine Bedoui, said on Monday that the government will allocate 28 airplanes to transport the national team supporters to the Africa Cup of Nations final (AFCON), held in Egypt.
The Prime Minister headed a ministerial meeting and discussed all arrangements made for the supporters' transportation to Egypt for AFCON final between Algeria and Senegal, a statement by the Prime Minister's office said.
The statement added that the planes would airlift 4,800 national team supporters to Cairo.
Bedoui vowed that the government would employ all potential to back the national team, after reaching the final with an astonishing performance, the statement said.
Moreover, the Algerian Army high command have directed nine military aircraft to transport additional number of fans to Cairo for AFCON final. (end)
