6 civilians die in Syria's Aleppo


(MENAFN) State news agency SANA reported that, at least six civilians died and eight others injured on Sunday by rebels' mortar fire that targeted Aleppo city in northern Syria.


SANA also said that, the mortar bullets were fired on residential areas in Aleppo.

Since being recaptured by the Syrian army in 2016, Aleppo has stayed largely secure excluding the mortar shelling by the rebels.


The radical rebels, placed in the western and northern countryside of Aleppo, frequently fire mortar shells on the city and government-controlled areas in the countryside of Aleppo region.
