Jordan- JIC keen to expand the companies


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, July 13 (Petra)- Acting Chairman of the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC),Dr. Freidon Harthouka, said the JIC is seeking to expand the exporting base of Jordanian companies and to find fresh markets for national industries in view of the closure of neighboring countries' markets.
During his meeting with the industrial delegation, which wrapped up a promotional trip to Kenya, Harthouka described opening of non-traditional markets for Jordanian exports, such as Kenya, as "very important," emanating from their potential to receive several industrial sector's products.
The JIC , he affirmed, will provide full support to thecompanies' overseas promotional exhibitions in a bid to open new markets for the Jordanian products.
Fathi Jaghbir, head of Jordan Chamber of Industry(JCI), who attended the meeting, said: "Jordan has the competitive advantage of more than 46 domestic products to enter the Kenyan market and compete strongly in various sectors."
The promotional trip to Nairobi, Kenya, jointly organized by the JIC and JCI, saw the participation of the Kingdom's industrial, agricultural, and pharmaceutical sectors.
