Egyptian President meets Sudan's military Council Chief in Cairo


(MENAFN) On Saturday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received head of Sudan's ruling military council General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.

Burhan is on his first trip since taking power after the April ouster of president Omar al-Bashir after months of demonstrations.

Egyptian presidential spokesperson Bassam Radi affirmed that Sisi had received Burhan at the capital's Ittihadia Palace. The meeting was joined by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri and head of intelligence Abbas Kamel.

Radi affirmed that Sisi greeted Burhan in Egypt and highlighted the depth of relations with Sudan.
