Four Omanis named to OCA committees


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has appointed four Omanis to its standing committees for a four year term (2019–2023).

The decision was announced after the conclusion of the 38th OCA general assembly in Bangkok, Thailand, last month.

Mansoor al Tauqi, chairman of the Oman Paralympic Committee, has been made a member of the OCA's athletes committee while Saada al Ismaili, vice-chairman of the Oman Women's Sport Committee has been made a member of the OCA's women and sport committee.

Ahmed al Kaabi, well-known commentator at Oman Sports Television has been included as a member of the OCA's media committee and H E Dr Sultan al Busaidi, chairman of the Oman

Anti-Doping Committee has been made chairman of the OCA's medical committee.

Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) secretary-general Taha al Kishry is already a member of the OCA's executive office.
