RABAT, 4th April, 2019 (WAM) -- The Ministry of Energy and Industry and the Fujairah Natural Resources Foundation participated in the 25th meeting of the Mineral Resources Advisory Committee of the Arab Organisation for Industrial Development and Mining, which was held in the organisation's headquarters in Rabat, Morocco.
The UAE was represented in the meeting by Khalid Al Hosany, Director of the Geology and Mineral Resources Administration at the Ministry of Energy and Industry, and Ali Qasim, Director-General of the Fujairah Natural Resources Foundation. It was chaired by Eng. Ahmed Faqeeh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Mineral Resources at the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia.
During the three-day meeting that concluded today, Eng. Adel Al Saqr, Director-General of the organisation, presented the committee's procedures related to monitor the recommendations of its previous meeting, as well as its agenda related to the mining sector, and the formation of a preparatory committee for the 16th Arab International Mineral Resources Conference, which will be held, in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Industry and the Fujairah Natural Resources Foundation, during the fourth quarter of 2020 in Fujairah. He thanked the UAE for welcoming the conference and its associated activities.
