Turkish police detain 22 PKK/KCK suspects

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Turkish forces detained 22 PKK/KCK suspects for their suspected connections with the terrorist group in Turkey, security sources stated.

Out of the total, 12 terror suspects with some officials of the opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) were detained in southern Adana province for boosting terrorist propaganda, affirmed the sources, who asked not to be named because of restrictions on talking to the media.

Also, in the Aegean province of Izmir, police rounded up 10 suspects for their alleged relations with PKK/KCK terrorist organization.

In its over 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK - considered as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU - has been responsible for the deaths of approximately 40,000 innocents, involving women and children.
