Oman to operate massive Duqm wind power by 2023


(MENAFN) Oman was revealed that it was likely to operate its first massive utility-scale wind power plant in a four-year period.

'Wind 2023' will be generating 300 MW of capacity with the costs of its establishment estimated at USD1 billion.

By the third quarter of 2019, Oman is expected to inaugurate a wind resource assessment (WRA) for the project.

Meanwhile, the qualification process for the project is forecast to be launched by the third quarter of 2020.
