Reunion island deports dozens of Sri Lankan migrants


(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Dozens of Sri Lankan migrants who arrived in Reunion island last week have been deported back to Sri Lanka.

Media reports from Reunion island said that 66 out of 72 Sri Lankan migrants who arrived on February 4, 2019 were deported today.

Reports stated that six of the Sri Lankans were granted asylum.

The 66 Sri Lankans were deported on an Air Seychelles aircraft back to Colombo. (Colombo Gazette)
