Bahrain's Arcapita accelerates to USD12m in net profit


(MENAFN) Arcapita, a leading Shari'ah complaint alternative investment company in Bahrain, generated more than USD12 million in its net profit for last year to mark a 50 percent surge.

Bahrain's Shari'ah complaint giant was able to achieve four major dealings at a worth of USD400 million last year alone.

According to CEO Atif Ahmed Abdulmalik, "fundraising activity in the Gulf remained strong at $230 million as we significantly grew our investor network through developing new relationships with prominent high net worth clients, family offices and institutional investors."

Abdulmalik also told Arabian Business that the firm concluded an equity-fund raising at USD230 million with an aim to boost its investments and strengthen its status.
