Body of Kuwaiti found in Amman, embassy is following up

Amman, Jan.19 (Petra) -- A body of a Kuwaiti citizen was found in an under construction building in Deir Ghbar area, west of Amman.

South Amman Police received a notice about a body lying in a building and when they head to the place it turned out that it belong to an Arab nationality, Public Security Department (PSD) spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Amer Sartawi said in a statement.

Sartawi added that after checking out the body by the prosecutor and the forensic doctor, they decided refer it to the National Center for Forensic Medicine to determine the cause of death.

Kuwaiti ambassador to Jordan, Aziz Dehani, said the embassy is following up since the morning on the death of a Kuwaiti citizens born in 1992 after it was informed of the incident by the Jordanian security.

The embassy is closely following up with security agencies, Dehani said in statement. He added that he contacted Interior Minister Samir Mubaidin who promised to follow up on the accident and investigate it.

The ambassador lauded efforts of Jordanian security bodies to reveal details of the incident, noting that the embassy is keen on finding out details the Jordanian security bodies have come up with.
