Hypersonic Avangard missile 'great victory': Putin
(MENAFN) Russia's President Vladimir Putin hailed on Wednesday the successful trial-launch of the latest hypersonic Avangard missile.
Following the test launch, the Russian president affirmed that "the new Avangard system is invulnerable to current and promising air defense and missile defense systems of a potential enemy."
According to the Kremlin, the president further emphasized that "this is a great success and a great victory."
The Strategic Missile Forces carried out the launch from the Orenburg region in the Southern Urals, striking a conventional target at a test site.
