Kuwaiti diplomat lauds brotherly ties with Bahrain


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, Dec 15 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Azzam Al-Sabah lauded his country's deep relationship with Bahrain, and described it as "historical" and "role model".
Sheikh Azzam made his remarks in a press statement on Saturday while congratulating the Bahraini political leadership on the country's 47th National Day and 19th anniversary of King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa's assumption to power.
He expressed his joy of taking part in the Kingdom's national celebrations, affirming that the Kuwaiti-Bahraini relationship enjoys substantial support by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Bahraini monarch.
The two countries are closely tied together when it comes to development and prosperity, Sheikh Azzam added, pointing out the Kingdom's brave and supportive stand by Kuwait during the 1990 Iraqi invasion of the country, in which the Bahraini armed forces were at the forefront of Kuwait's liberation.
The Kuwaiti diplomat also affirmed his country's grand and permanent support of Bahrain's development march, reiterating Kuwait's keenness to preserve the Kingdom's security, as well as safety of its people.
Furthermore, he prayed to Allah Almighty to perpetuate the grace of security, safety, welfare, and love on Bahrain under the wise leadership of King Hamad bin Khalifa and his reformation vision, which had a significant impact on his country's growth and development.
