(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Two teenage girls are accused of shoplifting women's clothing and hair accessories from a shop in Sharjah.
The Arab teens, one 14 and the other 15 years old, claimed they stole the items because the former wanted to give them as gifts to her mother on her birthday.
In the details, the girls had left their building and gone to a shop at a mall on October 29. Upon entering the shop, they made sure that no one was looking and stuffed some clothes and hair accesories into one of their handbags.
The duo were caught on CCTV camera and security were able to arrest and confiscate the items they had snatched.
They were referred to the Buheira police station and detained for one night.
They were released on bail and sent to the department of social guidance.
