DUBAI, 6th November, 2018 (WAM) -- During his meeting today with Branimir Gvozdenović, Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, and his delegation, at the headquarters of the Federal National Council, FNC, in Dubai, Marwan bin Gheleita, First Deputy of the Speaker of the FNC, discussed ways of strengthening the parliamentary cooperation and overall partnership between the UAE and Montenegro.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Mohammed Al Jarwan, Member of the FNC, and Dr. Jaber Al Zaabi, Assisting Secretary-General for Legislation and Control.
During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of their overall bilateral ties and ways of reinforcing them, as well as the parliamentary relations between the FNC and the Parliament of Montenegro while highlighting the vision of their leadership to strengthen their cooperation, along with the importance of holding consultations, and coordinating during international parliamentary events.
Marwan bin Gheleita praised the strong commercial and economic ties between the two countries and stressed the importance of reinforcing their economic and investment cooperation, through the establishment of an economic committee that aims to increase their trade exchange.
Jvuzdinovic praised the FNC and the overall development witnessed by the UAE, as well as its keenness to cooperate with all countries.
He added that the relationship between the UAE and the international community is based on maintaining security and stability, supporting righteousness, and promoting dialogue as a tool for solving conflicts, as well as respecting the sovereignty of countries, avoiding interference in their internal affairs, upholding international conventions and treaties, and rejecting violence and terrorism.
