(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) During the inaugural ceremony of the Sharjah International Book Fair, His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, launched his new book titled Bibi Fatima and the King's Sons in Arabic and English.

An official from Al Qasimi Publication said that the novel tells the story of an ambitious woman who clings to the falling rule of kings under the Portuguese occupation of the Kingdom of Hormuz. The book gives a detailed description of the social, political, and economic situation at a certain time in Hormuz.

The novel features six parts. Bibi Fatima, the protagonist of the novel, appears in the fourth part, which begins in AD1610 when Prince Firoz Shah forcibly marries her. Their endless disagreements lead to her finding solace in Christianity.
