Kuwait- Deadline for collecting parcels, express mail


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Sept 5: State Ministry for Services Affairs has called upon the recipients of postal parcels and Express Mail coming into the country to immediately collect parcels from the postal processing center in Sadeeq and for Express Mails in Hateen or else they will be return to the country of origin as per the directives issued by the ministry's Undersecretary Khaloud Al-Shihaab, reports Al- Rai daily.

The public appeal to follow up their parcels and express mails coincide with the ministry's move to refer the company in charge of handling postal parcels to investigation after one of its personnel was filmed mishandling the parcels by kicking them and throwing them recklessly.

The ministry urged the public on the importance of considering the time limit for receiving their postal parcels as stipulated by the laws of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) which give two months period for parcels which bear serial number starting with letter 'C', and three weeks for Express Mails with serial numbers starting with letter 'E'. Collection of postal parcels and Express Mail should be done during working hours at the above mentioned two centers from Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.
