Teams are gearing up for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, starting in Russia from June 14 onwards.

And this weekend's World Cup friendly matches gave the fans plenty to cheer about.

With four days to go for the World Cup, teams would be hoping that they had derived the maximum from these friendly matches.

Here is a round-up of international friendlies.

Spain down Tunisia 1-0 at the death

Spain rode through a well taken goal by Iago Aspas in the 84th minute to down a resolute Tunisia side in Krasnodar.

Tunisia 'almost' took a lead in the first-half but Naim Sliti missed from a close range.

Diego Costa then worked the ball well to find Aspas, who shot under the legs of Mathlouthi.

Tunisia open their campaign against England.

France held by determined USA

2016 Euro Championship finalists France were held by the United Stated of America in a 1-1 encounter.

Julian Green got USA ahead with a smart finish past Hugo Lloris in the 44th minute.

France were dominant, but they found their only goal through Kylian Mbappe in the 78th minute.

Paul Pogba struck the post as Fekir was denied in the dying moments.

Serbia pump five goals past Bolivia, Denmark win

Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic scored a hat-trick in Serbia's 5-1 win against Bolivia.

Besides his hat-trick, Adem Ljajic and Branislav Ivanovic scored two other goals as a powerful Serbian squad stomped their authority.

Christian Eriksen scored one goal and assisted the other as Denmark beat Mexico 2-0.

Yussuf Poulsen scored the opener in the 71st minute.

Eriksen smashed the 2nd from near post.

Australia overcome Hungary 2-1

The youngest player of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Daniel Arzani scored for Australia in their 2-1 win against Hungary. The 19-year-old scored from 20 yards in the first minute after coming on as a substitute. Tamas Kadar scored the winner.
