(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): The Taliban
Police spokesman Mohammad Iqbal Nizami told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban captured the Awshan area after fierce clashes with security forces that lasted for six hours on Friday night.
He said on Afghan Local Police (ALP) officer was killed and another one wounded during the firefight took place at 8pm.
Separately, unidentified gunmen shot dead Rasoul and injured his son residents of Ferozkoh City on Friday, Nizami said, adding Rasoul and his son were on way to attend a gathering.
Security forces had launched investigation into the incident, he concluded.
