(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Lack of reliable information adding to confusion regarding the police clearance certificate (PCC) for Indians seeking a job in the UAE, according to officials.
The Indian Missions as well as BLS International, which manages the administrative function of the visa and passport applications process, continue to receive numerous calls from job seekers regarding the new requirement of good conduct certificate to work in the UAE.
Indian Missions, as always, are carrying on the process of accepting and approving PCC applications, which means those Indians on visit visa and with a job offer needn't return home to get one.
"We always used to accept PCC applications from those on visit visa and getting a job offer. It is just the same requirement which is re-branded under a new term good conduct certificate," said Dinesh Kumar, first secretary (community affairs), Indian Embassy.
"There are no new developments or update since the new rule was implemented by the UAE government last month. We continue to issue PCC," Kumar said.
Steps to follow Indian missions are accepting the PCC applications through BLS International.
According to BLS International staff, people need to follow just simple steps to get a PCC in Abu Dhabi.
"First they need to download PCC form from BLS website or visit the centre for an application. Later, they need to submit the application along with copies of job offer letter, trade license of the company, passport page, visit visa page and four photos of 51m X 51m with white background," the staff said.
An Indian then needs to visit the embassy and get an approval. After this, they need to return to the BLS International office and submit the application.
"There is no time frame for the processing of the application. Once ready, an applicant will be send an SMS on local phone number," the staff said.
