Brexit negotiations make 'significant step' in transition deal

(MENAFN) The UK and the European Union have made a "significant step" in Brexit talks in settling on an agreement about the transition period.

Britain has reached an agreement to make trade dealings with countries that are not members of the EU, as it won a concession from Brussels.

Even so, the document reveals the agreement to not be implemented until the transition period comes to an end.

Representatives from the UK and the EU were also confirmed to have worked during a joint committee to sort out disagreements for the 21 months following Brexit day.
