Kuwait University win mountain bike tourney


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: Kuwait University Team came first in a recent mountain bike competition organized by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) at its own competition track in Ahmadi. According to Kuwait University Team captain Engineer Ahmad Yasin Malallah Al-Khaldi, 300 bikes participated in the competition. The categories included female, group, under 18 and over 40. The combination of bikers Mubarak Al-Hajeri and Thunyan Al-Mohsen came first in the group category. He said nine male and female bikers represented the university at the event.

He informed that Kuwait University Bikers Team is into weekly training sessions and tours. He indicated that female bikers practice on Tuesdays and their male counterparts do their training on Thursday, while Saturday is set aside for weekly tours. Registration is open for interested students of Kuwait University who are 16 years old and above.
