(MENAFN- UkrinForm) A significant deterioration in weather conditions is expected in Ukraine as a result of the impact of an active cyclone.
Director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Mykola Kulbida said this during an extraordinary meeting at the State Emergency Service, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"As a result of the impact of an active cyclone, we expect a significant deterioration in weather conditions in Ukraine on January 18. We expect heavy snowfalls, snowstorms, snow cover up to 40 cm in height," he said.
According to Kulbida, such weather conditions certainly affect the work of many areas of state activity, first of all, the energy supply and the work of transport and aviation.
