Dubai's RTA to invest USD544m in 2 projects


(MENAFN) Dubai's RTA announced it is planning to invest in the construction of two new road projects in the Creek area of the city in order to ease traffic congestion, Arabian Business reported.

The two projects, which will be at a cost of between USD462 million and USD544 million, will start construction within the next month.

The first project will improve parallel streets in the Godolphin and Zaabeel neighborhood, which is expected to take 30 months to complete. It includes roads, bridge works and a number of underpasses, all of which is hoped to ease traffic flow in the area.

The second project due is Al Ittihad bridge, which will replace the current Floating Bridge, and will have a capacity of 24,000 vehicles per day.
