(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Under the patronage H H Sayid Faisal bin Turki al Said, Oman Tourism College (OTC) recently held the closing ceremony of ‘Chef Oman 2014', which began on March 26 at the college premises, under the sponsorship of Sadia – the world's leading brand of chilled and frozen food, Oman Association for Consumer Protection and Ali & Abdul Karim.
After the recitation of the Holy Q'uran, Muhammad al Rawahi, head of OTC Labour Union, delivered a speech, which was followed by a presentation on the stages of the renewed competition. The jury members, sponsors, and organisers were honoured before the announcement of the top winner, which was Fahad al Alawi from Al Mouj Muscat.
The best four competitors were Talal al Toubi (second) from the Royal Air Force of Oman, Shames al Baluchi (third) from InterContinental Muscat, Emad al Busaidi (fourth) from the Royal Navy of Oman, and Said al Rahbi (fifth) from the Royal Air Force of Oman, The special award for the best healthy recipe presented by Sadia, was bagged by Shames al Baluchi. Sayid Faisal asserted on the importance of promoting Chef Oman', not only in Oman, but in the region, for its role in discovering talents. Alawi expressed his happiness on winning the title and thanked the OTC for hosting such a competition and the sponsors for providing support to participants.<
