Afghanistan President Karzai Starts Visit To German

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai arrived in Berlin Wednesday to hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. DPA quoted German Government sources as saying that Berlin would be pledging about $190 million in annual aid to the Afghan security forces. The deal is aimed at helping Kabul expand its army and police. Germany is also planning a partnership accord with Kabul that would also provide funding for education and reconstruction projects.
