Bahrain International Airport adds 12 new routes


(MENAFN) Bahrain International Airport (BIA) declared the launch of twelve new routes for the regional hub, as well as new carriers with services out of Manama.

Gulf Air was confirmed to have begun operating in eight new routes, with new direction services to Bangalore, Calicut, Abha, Tubuk, Alexandria, Sharm El Shaikh, Baku, and Casablanca.

Azerbaijan Airlines was also announced to have commenced new direct service between Baku and Bahrain, offering services twice a week between Heydar Aliyev International Airport and BIA.

Istanbul-based Atlas Global has also launched new routes from Bahrain to Izmir, Antalya, and Trabzon, while Turkish Airlines added a service Trabzon to its list of destinations from Bahrain.
