Pakistan- Fitrana amount fixed at Rs100 per head


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Saturday announced the amount of Sadqa-e-Fitr, which is mandatory for every Muslim to pay before Eidul Fitr.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman said the minimum amount of Sadqa-e-Fitr have been set at Rs100 rupees per person for the year 2018.

With respect to oats, the amount for Fitrana will be Rs240, and dates and raisins will be Rs1,600 and Rs1,920, respectively.

Last year, the minimum amount for Sadqa-e-Fitr or Fitrana had also been set at Rs100 per head.

Islam obligates its followers to pay the required amount before offering the Eid prayers, so that the needy can also make timely use of that money. The Fitrana is paid for all members of the family. The amount is paid by head of the family.
