(MENAFN) Four soldiers and 36 Islamic militants were killed in the battle that lasted five days in the restive Sinai Peninsula,according to the Egyptian army.
The four military personnel included one officer as another eight troopers were reportedly injured,with two officers among them.
The military declared that it also devastated 400 shelters,munitions and weapon storehouses,as well as disabled 93 explosive devices in the mission.
It added that 345 suspected militants and wanted assailants have been detained.
