friendly tournament
Qatar beat Oman 38-18 yesterday to win an international friendly handball tournament at Al Duhail Sports Hall. The win against Oman was Qatar's third in the tournament, having earlier beaten Algeria and Iran. Iran finished second after beating Algeria 31-28 in the second match,while Algeria finished third and Oman fourth. The international friendly tournament was the last phase in the preparation of the Qatari team who will be playing the Asian Championship later this month. Saudi Arabia, China and New Zealand feature in Qatar's group in the Asian Championship.
