Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, President of Gabon explore ways to boost bilateral ties

ABU DHABI, 29th May, 2017 (WAM) -- His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, welcomed President Ali Bongo of Gabon at Al Bateen Palace on Monday.

Both leaders discussed ways to bolster bilateral ties of friendship and co-operation.

Following the exchange of Ramadan greetings, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President of Gabon deliberated on a range of issues, including the development of bilateral relations in the areas of economy and trade, in line with the two countries' desire to take them to the next level.

Sheikh Mohamed affirmed the UAE's keenness to establish robust ties of co-operation and friendship with Gabon, so as to serve the mutual interest of the two friendly countries and their people.

President Bongo said he was delighted to visit the UAE and get first-hand information about its development model.

He underscored his country's determination to expand the scope of joint work with the UAE.

Latest regional and global developments of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.

H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, attended the meeting.
