Two Vietnamese, both on visit visas, who stabbed to death (together with a runaway suspect) a Pakistani man following a fight over his harassment of a prostitute in a flat, were each jailed for three years on Monday.

The two men, both aged 32, were found guilty by the Court of First Instance of charges of murder and that of using the flat as a brothel in International City. They did so by distributing massage business cards and inviting men over to have sex with prostitutes.
Three Pakistanis, who are the victim's friends, were each sentenced to two months in jail and ordered to pay Dh1,000 in fines each on the charge of physically assaulting the two main accused.
The court ordered that all of them be deported after completing the court sentences.

"We were informed about a stabbing incident in the Moroccan cluster at 5 pm on July 6, 2016. When we reached the place we found a man's body lying down on his back covered with blood. His friends were around him and one of them was taken to hospital because he was stabbed in the leg," a police lieutenant said.
The victim's friends told the police they had gone with him to the flat where massage services were available after they found a business card bearing the Vietnamese accused's number. "The victim told them that he had an altercation with that man the day before because of women and that man had assaulted him prior to the incident day," the officer added.

The police apprehended the two Vietnamese the following day in Oud Al Mutteena.
"One of them said that he was in his flat which was being run as a massage centre when he saw a Pakistani man throwing his shoe at the window. He went down the building and there were the Pakistani defendants who tried to assault him. He ran up and the other men followed him and tried to break- open the flat's door. He called his friend," the lieutenant told the prosecutor.

"The Vietnamese and his friends then went down carrying knives. A fight broke out in which he stabbed one of the Pakistanis in the chest and his friend stabbed another in the leg".
