'Public Answered Critics,' Says KP CM At Mardan Rally, Unveils Rs50bn Plan

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Mardan: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Suhail Afridi, announced a development package worth Rs. 50 billion while addressing a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) public gathering in Mardan.

The Chief Minister said that a massive crowd attended the rally in response to Imran Khan's call, adding that they hold no personal significance without the public. He remarked that despite claims that people would not turn out, the residents of Mardan proved their support for Imran Khan.

Suhail Afridi stated that Imran Khan had instructed that the rally be held in daylight and had spoken about initiating a street movement. He also announced that he would visit Azad Kashmir on April 25 and Lahore on May 1.

According to the Chief Minister, a message has been conveyed to Imran Khan that the nation is ready and will reach Islamabad the very next day upon his call. He added that he is ready to sacrifice himself countless times for Imran Khan, calling him the leader of yesterday and today.

He further said that those claiming Imran Khan is finished have been proven wrong by the public.“Our leader is only Imran Khan-his command will be followed,” he stated.

The Chief Minister said that the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the result of flawed state policies. He claimed that peace prevailed during Imran Khan's tenure but deteriorated afterward due to poor decisions.

He reiterated his strong opposition to any military operation in the province. He added that hopes from the courts regarding Imran Khan have diminished, and now all eyes are on the public.

Suhail Afridi also stated that protests will continue until Imran Khan and his wife receive proper medical treatment in the presence of their personal doctors and family. He termed restrictions on meetings and lack of medical care as pressure tactics.

Speaking on the economy, he said GDP growth has dropped from 6% to 2.5%, national debt has increased from Rs. 50 trillion to Rs. 81 trillion, and petrol prices have surged from Rs. 150 to over Rs. 360.

He added that farmers and laborers are being crushed by inflation and that people's purchasing power has significantly declined. He blamed the“regime change” for the country's ongoing economic challenges.

Suhail Afridi further alleged that an elite“mafia” has taken control of key institutions. He said ongoing regional negotiations are to Pakistan's credit and reflect Imran Khan's policies.

The Chief Minister also said that, on Imran Khan's instructions, consultations will be held with Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas. He announced that the next provincial assembly session will be held in a public ground.

He concluded by congratulating the party organization, parliamentarians, and the public on the successful gathering.
