As tensions in parts of the Middle East have unsettled residents and disrupted travel plans, Dubai's iconic resort Atlantis, The Palm has opened its doors with a gesture aimed at bringing some relief to families and visitors in the city.

From March 10 to 22, the resort is offering complimentary access to its two major attractions - Aquaventure World and The Lost World Aquarium - during the ongoing school holidays, Khaleej Times can confirm.

With many families navigating an unexpected spring break and some tourists waiting for their flights to their different destinations, the resort's initiative offers a chance to relax and enjoy a day of leisure in the city.

The resort said it hopes to offer guests a place where they can“unwind, recharge and spend time together” and briefly step away from the stress of the past few days.

Aquaventure World - billed as the world's largest water park - will continue operating normally throughout the offer period. Visitors can experience its record-breaking water slides, enjoy the one-kilometre private beach, and explore the family-friendly marine exhibits housed within the aquarium.

A chance to unwind

Resort officials said the initiative is meant to provide a small but meaningful moment of relief for the community.

As quoted in Connecting Travel, Sascha Triemer, General Manager and Vice President, Aquaventure World at Atlantis Dubai, said,“We are proud to be part of Dubai and its community. If we can offer even a small moment of relief and a few smiles, then we've done something meaningful.”

A limited number of complimentary tickets will be released each day for both attractions during the promotion. Guests can reserve up to four tickets per booking, but reservations must be made in advance for a specific date through the Aquaventure World website.

To confirm the reservation, visitors are required to provide valid contact information and credit card details, although no payment will be charged. The resort clarified that the complimentary tickets are strictly for personal use and cannot be sold or transferred.

Those who wish to add extra experiences or visit outside the complimentary period can still purchase regular tickets through the park's official channels. Visitors are also advised to check Aquaventure World's website and social media pages for updates and availability before planning their trip.
