Russian Drones Attack Kharkiv Region, Man Found Dead Under Rubble, His Wife Wounded
“At night, Russia attacked the private sector of the Kupiansk district with a combat drone. The strike hit a residential building, which was destroyed,” the report said.
Rescuers recovered the body of a deceased man from the rubble. Another woman was injured.
Emergency rescue operations are ongoing, the SES emphasized.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported on Telegram that, according to the investigation, on Thursday, February 26, at about 9:40 p.m., Russian troops struck a private residential area in the village of Pidserednie, Kupiansk district, with two unmanned aerial vehicles, preliminarily identified as Geran-2.
Residential buildings were destroyed and damaged.
A 67-year-old man was killed. His wife was injured.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kupiansk District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to a Facebook post by Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Kharkiv and 13 settlements in the region were under Russian attack yesterday, February 26.
The enemy used three guided aerial bombs, 11 Geran-2 UAVs, and one FPV drone in the Kharkiv region. The type of 17 other UAVs is still being determined.
In the Bohodukhiv district, a private house and power lines were damaged (in the town of Valky).
In the Kupiansk district, a private house (village of Pidserednie) and two cars (village of Shevchenkove, village of Velyki Khutory) were damaged.
In the Izium district, a hangar (village of Kriuchky) was damaged.

In the Chuhuiv district, two private houses were damaged (in the villages of Pechenihy and Molodova).
As reported by Ukrinform, on February 25, the regional center and 13 other settlements in the Kharkiv region were under Russian attack. Sixteen people were injured, including two children.
