Meta, NVIDIA Forge Multi-Year Strategic Partnership
(MENAFN) Meta Platforms and NVIDIA have unveiled a sweeping multi-year strategic partnership designed to supercharge Meta's AI-optimized data center infrastructure and fast-track the development of next-generation artificial intelligence systems, the companies announced Tuesday.
At the heart of the agreement lies the large-scale rollout of NVIDIA's cutting-edge computing and networking technologies across Meta's global data center network — purpose-built to support AI training, inference operations, and the backbone services underpinning Meta's vast digital ecosystem.
Both companies say the collaboration is engineered to deliver measurable gains in performance per watt, driving more efficient AI operations at unprecedented scale — a critical benchmark as energy consumption in AI infrastructure draws mounting scrutiny worldwide.
NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang underscored the singular scale of the endeavor. "No one deploys AI at Meta's scale — integrating frontier research with industrial-scale infrastructure to power the world's largest personalization and recommendation systems for billions of users," he said.
"Through deep co-design across CPUs, GPUs, networking, and software, we are bringing the full NVIDIA platform to Meta's researchers and engineers as they build the foundation for the next AI frontier," he added.
Among the deal's headline deployments, Meta will integrate NVIDIA's Confidential Computing technology into WhatsApp to power AI-driven features while rigorously safeguarding user data confidentiality and integrity — a move that speaks directly to growing regulatory and consumer pressure over privacy in AI applications.
The partnership will also see Meta adopt NVIDIA's Spectrum-X Ethernet networking platform across its infrastructure, delivering the low-latency, high-throughput connectivity that large-scale AI workloads demand.
