Sydney Sweeney Says She Loves Films Embracing 'Female Rage'
The actress Sydney relished smashing things and going off the rails for the movie, reports 'Female First UK'.
The blonde beauty, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent years, told 'People' magazine, "I love seeing movies that have just fully embraced female rage”.
Amanda also loved filming the dramatic scenes for their new movie. The 40-year-old actress said, "We don't get movies like this, where we get to destroy things the way we did in this, and what a dream. "There's no consequences to breaking s***, it's just rare. I did get to go way beyond with [my character] Nina, but we get our own moments of rage and revenge”.
As per 'Female First UK', Paul Feig, the film's director, has always been huge fans of Sydney and Amanda, and he was struck by their on-screen "chemistry".
The acclaimed filmmaker added, "And how deep they went into these characters and were doing things that were surprising me with it. "When I get to the editing room I was picking up on things I didn't even see on the set that I'm going, 'Wow, there's this extra layer that they're each doing'”.
Meanwhile, Amanda recently heaped praise on Sydney, describing her co-star as a "sweetheart". The actress praised her co-star for how she's coped with the pressures of fame and success.
Amanda told 'Vanity Fair', "I don't envy anything she's going through. I've spent a lot of time with her; we just hit it off immediately. She's a sweetheart. She's a very generous, kind person at her core. I have to be honest: I did not have a moment like she's having ever. ('My Mean Girls' co-star) Lindsay Lohan, we're buddies, and it's really, really, really harmful to people to have that kind of overnight spotlight. Because any press, good or bad, is still a blinding spotlight, and you have to maneuver and negotiate your way around it and outside of it. It's acrobatics that I don't think most people are capable of figuring it out at that age”.
Amanda thinks a sudden rise to stardom can actually be "dangerous". However, the actress praised Sydney for how she's coped with the extra attention.
