Youth Min. Congratulates Kuwait Squad On Qualification For FIFA Arab Cup

KUWAIT, Nov 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi on Tuesday congratulated Kuwait's national football team on advancing to FIFA Arab Cup due in Qatar next month.
In a press statement, the minister commended the distinguished performance of the Blues during the game versus Mauritania, which enabled them to win 2-0 and qualify for the pan-Arab championship.
He also spoke highly of the great efforts exerted by the Kuwaiti Football Association and technical and executive staff in this regard.
He reiterated that Kuwaiti sport is highly backed by the political leadership, looking forward to achieving more sports accomplishments.
Earlier in the day, Kuwait's national football team defeated Mauritania 2-0 to qualify for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025.
Mohammad Daham scored the opener for the Blues in the seventh minute and scored once more in the 23rd minute during the fixture that took place at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Qatar hosts the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 for the second successive edition, having hosted the inaugural tournament in 2021.
Sixteen nations from across the Arab world will compete for glory, including reigning champions Algeria.
The Final Stage runs from 1-18 December 2025, following a Qualification Stage on 25-26 November 202. (end)
