Abu Dhabi Police Delegation, PSD Chief Talk Cooperation

Amman, November 25 (Petra) – A delegation from the Saif Bin Zayed Academy for Security and Policing Sciences at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ discussed with Director General of Public Security Directorate (PSD) Maj. Gen. Dr. Obaidullah Maayta, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange security expertise.
During the delegation's visit to the PSD's headquarters on Tuesday, the two sides went over means to develop specialized academic and training programs in security and police sciences to keep pace with the rapid changes in the regional and international security environment and contribute to raise the level of institutional performance.
Maayta underlined the "deep-rooted, brotherly" Jordanian-Emirati relations, praising the "distinguished" partnership between Jordanian police institutes and the Saif Bin Zayed Academy, and its role in training personnel and promoting modern concepts of police work.
For his part, the delegation's head, Brig. Dr. Rashid Bourshid, expressed his appreciation for the PSD and its development in police operations and training fields.
Bourshid also stressed "keenness" of Abu Dhabi Police GHQ to expand joint cooperation and coordination areas, especially with the PSD's Royal Police Academy, as "one of the key specialized scientific institutions in the region."
