Maddy Mcallister

Maddy McAllister is a Senior Lecturer for Maritime Archaeology at James Cook University and the Senior Curator of Maritime Archaeology at Queensland Museum Topics.
Maddy completed her archaeological education with a Bachelor of Archaeology, a Master of Maritime Archaeology from Flinders University and a PhD from the University of Western Australia.
Maddy is on Board of Directors for the Advisory Council of Underwater Archaeology and an editor for the Australasian Journal of Maritime Archaeology. Maddy is an active voice for maritime archaeology, blogging about the discipline and enlightening the public on the daily life of underwater archaeologists through her blog and social media platform – the Shipwreck Mermaid.
